We watched The Jerk tonight on AMC
Lisa had never seen this before until tonight. I'd last caught it maybe ten years ago and had forgotten how funny this is. It's sort of more uplifting now for some reason. Lisa likes to tell me that I'll probably look like Steve Martin in another ten years or so: that's an encouraging thought I guess :-) Anyhoo, pretty good comedy in case you've never caught it before.

Despite the fact that THE JERK is a hysterical movie, I have always had a soft spot for it because it introduced a much younger Qemuel to the lovely Bernadette Peters.
Lord, that woman can sing.
Sigh.
Whatever happened to Peters anyway? I saw her in a commercial or two a few years ago but otherwise she's been all too absent from stuff. She looked pretty good too, last time I seen her.
Well, a few months back she put out a CD called LIVE AT CARNEGIE HALL: THE REST OF IT.
We have a store copy at work that I plan on acquiring.
Also, she's going to be hosting BROADWAY'S BEST AT POPS on PBS on November 24th.
And yes, she does still look incredible, doesn't she?
Her husband died in a helicopter crash in September
