"Pulp Muppets" was a (somewhat famous) April Fool's Day prank that the now-defunct Coming Attractions website did, I want to say about ten years ago. A lot of people were taken in by it. That's where the idea first originated, to the best of my understanding.
That was GREAT! I always suspected that Eric Stoltz was a muppet...
