CONFRONTING JOHNNY ROBERTSON: YouTube videos of encounter with "Church of Christ" preacher
As I reported earlier, last night I gave Johnny Robertson of the Martinsville Church of Christ (which I call the "Church Of Christ In Name Only" because it has NOTHING to do with the traditional Churches of Christ) the opportunity to debate me on live television, since he's apparently been wanting me to mix it up with him over a matter of theology. Confess Chris, that was a setup. Something that funny could no way just happen without planning. Johnny Robertson and you are in on this together have to be. He's not really this stupid is he?
Okay I'm watching this at work and trying hard not to laugh out loud.
Chris, you should buy some air time and invite Johnny to your show for a discussion.
Is the reason you are so opposed to what this man teaches because you are convincted it is right and true and you have not obeyed?

So instead of answering the questions, he says "Look at how awesome I am because I'm not calling the police" AMAZING. This is dodging with the best of them!! But, then again, I don't suppose he'd be on TV throwing his foul poo if he could actually legitimately answer a straightforward question.

You can obey from now til doomsday but it can't save you as the Hebrews learned. What Chris is showing from the Bible is that obeying is become a work when Jesus did away with the works. I think it even says somewhere that there is no salvation by works, to keep "any of us should boast." What are you doing anonymous at 5:19 but boasting about yourself?

Robertson has had this coming for a long time. I don't see why he can't answer Chris's questions. He looked scared.

Chris, I as told you via email, Johnny isnt afraid to debate you - he loves this stuff. I heard you state you wanted to debate Johnny on Law vs Grace. You may want to reconsider this and study their position before taking them on...meaning you must know every single argument that they have on both subjects. Does freedom in Christ mean free from obeying the laws of God? Dude, be well prepared because I know Johnny is. Im not saying I agree with everything Johnny teaches or taking sides, I am saying you MUST know everything they teach and why...they have this so covered you will be floored if you are not up on every issue they have. I would suggest you read and listen to other church of Christ debates on this subject...take care

Maybe the reason the gentleman did not answer you is found in Proverbs 26:4. I am not from the area, but I was appalled at your behavior, all the while professing Godliness??? This serves no purpose but to excite the devil.
Ighayman Chris was only giving Robertson what Robertson asked for to begin with, a debate. Robertson chickened out. I thought Chris's questions were relevant and if you watch his monologue its obvious this is something he is doing for love of God.
Chris' questions were in the form of a retorical rant. If he is sincere in wanting a debate, find a time other than when the man is set to film a tv broadcast that I assume his church is paying for. If he does not show up, then his actions have condemned him and God will judge.
I plan on showing up and being at the studio.
By the way, how is the weather in Louisiana today Linda? ;-)
HUMID! My 6:00 run was a killer. I had a chance to watch the video of your call in to the TV program. I did cringe at the preacher's treatment of his callers. I would be interested in watching the debate if you have a date. Just a humble word of advise: he says he is pointing out false doctrine, you say you are calling him on his hypocrisy. Don't let your approach or method narrow the dividing line between the two.

I hope that you will enjoy what I have planned. Lord willing, and He is the one that I am wanting this to give all the glory to, it will lead people to think about some things. Especially Johnny.

You really didn't handle him as you say you did. What made you any different than him? to be honest he handled you. You think he is a joke. Look in the mirror the joke is on you.
Chris did well okay. It takes heart to take on Roberson. And Roberson never answers Chris questions.
