"Doctorin' the Tardis": More insane music from The KLF

It might be a few days before I can watch "Turn Left", tonight's new episode of Doctor Who which the BBC just transmitted across the pond to our Brittish brethren (and after two years nobody has still gotten that little joke!). "Turn Left" marks the return of Billie Piper as Rose Tyler: the Doctor's first companion after the series was revived after a fifteen-year hiatus. Rose, her family and boyfriend Mickey became trapped in the alternate universe at the end of Season 2 (or 28 if we're counting the original series) and the Doctor said that there was no way to escape. If you've been watching this season's Doctor Who you know already that she wound up back somehow, beginning with her jaw-dropping silent cameo in the season premiere "Partners in Crime".

So to celebrate the imminent reunion of the Doctor and one of the most beloved of his companions, as well as the return of arch-villain Davros next week, here's something that I've wanted to post for awhile now. This blog has already seen the video for "Justified and Ancient" by The KLF. Here now is the group's #1 hit single from a few years earlier when they called themselves The Timelords. The most insane music video ever

It's about 9:30 on Wednesday night as I write this. All day I've been fighting, I thought it was the flu at first. Have had a high fever. Felt delirious somewhat. It's not the kind of mindset that you want to be in while blogging, 'cuz you never know what you might say...

But Lisa's been taking care of me, and my fever has been breaking for the past little while. Maybe I'm on the upswing of things. Which I need to be 'cuz "Weird" Ed, my college roomie and filmmaking partner, is due to arrive later tonight. He'll be here for the rest of the week. Gonna be fun :-)

In the meantime, I need to find an "upbeat" thing for this blog, 'cuz looking over the past few weeks' worth of posts, it's a real downer how many posts were devoted to the passing of other people. And maybe something fun to reflect on my current fevered state of mind.

So here's what I came across on Myspace tonight: some consider it to be the most bizarre music video of all time. Personally, I think it's sheer genius. This was a big thing when I was in my last year of high school. So much twisted coolness in this piece.
